Cách dùng

  1. There is + N số ít / không đếm được; there are + N số nhiều
    There is a lack of affordable housing. – Đang thiếu nhà ở giá phải chăng.
  2. There + các thì khác: there has been, there will be, there used to be
    There has been a steady rise in online shopping. – Mua sắm trực tuyến tăng đều.
  3. It cho thời tiết, thời gian, khoảng cách
    It is about 30 kilometres from the airport to the city. – Từ sân bay đến thành phố khoảng 30 km.
  4. It is + adj + (for sb) + to V
    It is difficult for elderly people to use some apps. – Người lớn tuổi thấy khó dùng một số ứng dụng.
  5. It is said / believed / thought that… (khách quan, học thuật)
    It is widely believed that exercise improves memory. – Nhiều người tin rằng tập thể dục cải thiện trí nhớ.

💡 Câu "Có nhiều người…" tiếng Việt → There are many people who… hoặc Many people… Đừng dùng "It has" hay "Have" để nói "có".

Lỗi hay gặp

❌ In my city have many parks.
✅ There are many parks in my city.
Tiếng Anh dùng There are để nói "có"; không dùng have khi không có chủ ngữ.

✅ It is important to protect the environment.
Câu tiếng Anh bắt buộc có chủ ngữ; dùng it làm chủ ngữ giả.

Reasons số nhiều → there are.
