Cách dùng
- Chỉ mức chênh lệch nhỏ
The figure for men was slightly lower than that for women. – Con số của nam giới thấp hơn một chút so với nữ giới. - Chỉ mức chênh lệch lớn
Spending on health was considerably greater than spending on defence. – Chi tiêu cho y tế lớn hơn đáng kể so với chi tiêu quốc phòng. - Gấp bao nhiêu lần
Japan produced twice as much rice as Korea. – Nhật Bản sản xuất lượng gạo gấp đôi Hàn Quốc. - So sánh kép để diễn tả quan hệ nhân quả
The longer students stay online, the less they concentrate. – Học sinh càng ở trên mạng lâu thì càng kém tập trung. - So sánh nhất kèm thứ hạng

Lỗi hay gặp
❌ The price of rice was more higher than in 2015.
✅ The price of rice was much higher than in 2015.
Không dùng more cùng với đuôi -er. Muốn nhấn mạnh hãy dùng much/far/considerably.
❌ The population of China is larger than India.
✅ The population of China is larger than that of India.
Phải so sánh dân số với dân số, không so dân số với một quốc gia.
❌ The more you practise, you will be more fluent.
✅ The more you practise, the more fluent you will be.
So sánh kép cần cấu trúc song song: the + so sánh hơn ở cả hai vế.
