📢 Nhấn mạnh & đa dạng câu (Emphasis: Emphatic do, Fronting, Cleft Sentences) · C1

Dùng do/does/did để nhấn mạnh, đảo thành phần lên đầu câu (fronting), và câu chẻ “What… is…”, “The reason why… is that…” để làm nổi bật thông tin quan trọng.

Công thức

Do nhấn mạnh	S + do / does / did + V (nguyên mẫu) Exercise does improve mood, as several studies show.
Câu chẻ What	What + S + V + is / was + N / to V / mệnh đề What concerns me most is the cost of housing.
Lý do	The reason (why) S + V + is + that + S + V The reason why people move is that wages are higher in cities.
Fronting	Thành phần được nhấn mạnh + , + S + V This argument I find unconvincing.

Cách dùng

Do/does/did: khẳng định mạnh, đặc biệt khi phản bác
Although the course is expensive, it does offer excellent career prospects. – Mặc dù khóa học đắt, nó thực sự mang lại triển vọng nghề nghiệp xuất sắc.
Did để nhấn mạnh trong quá khứ
The campaign did raise awareness, even if it failed to change behaviour. – Chiến dịch quả thực đã nâng cao nhận thức, dù không thay đổi được hành vi.
What… is…: nêu điều quan trọng nhất
What young people need is practical work experience. – Điều người trẻ cần là kinh nghiệm làm việc thực tế.
All (that)… is…: chỉ cần
All you need to do is fill in this form. – Tất cả những gì bạn cần làm là điền vào mẫu này.
Fronting tính từ / trạng ngữ
Particularly worrying is the rise in childhood obesity. – Đặc biệt đáng lo ngại là sự gia tăng béo phì ở trẻ em.

Câu thường	Câu nhấn mạnh
I agree that it is useful.	I do agree that it is useful.
She missed the deadline.	She did miss the deadline. (đúng là đã lỡ)
We need more nurses.	What we need is more nurses.
Prices rose because demand grew.	The reason why prices rose is that demand grew.
The cost surprised me.	What surprised me was the cost.
The results are more important.	More important are the results.

💡 Sau “The reason why… is” dùng THAT, không dùng because (lặp nghĩa). Trong văn trang trọng, “The reason is because…” bị coi là lỗi.

Lỗi hay gặp

❌ ~~He does works very hard.~~
✅ He does work very hard.
Sau do/does/did nhấn mạnh, động từ luôn ở dạng nguyên mẫu.

❌ ~~The reason why I chose this course is because it is practical.~~
✅ The reason why I chose this course is that it is practical.
The reason… is that…; dùng because là lặp ý.

❌ ~~What I want it is a stable job.~~
✅ What I want is a stable job.
Mệnh đề What I want đã là chủ ngữ, không thêm it.
