Mục đích thư I am writing to let you know that my daughter, Mia, from Class 4B, will be absent from school for one week next month.

Ý 1 My husband's grandmother in Vietnam is celebrating her ninetieth birthday, and the whole family is gathering for the occasion. As she is not well enough to travel, this may be the last chance for Mia to see her.

Ý 2 We will fly out on Saturday 9 November, so Mia will miss lessons from Monday 11 to Friday 15 November. She will return to school on the following Monday. I realise that it is not ideal to take children out of school during term time, and I apologise for any disruption.

Ý 3 I would like to make sure that Mia does not fall behind. Could you possibly let me know which topics the class will cover that week? If you could provide some worksheets, I will make sure she completes them while we are away.
