Lời chào Dear Mrs Clarke,
Mục đích thư I am writing to let you know about a problem with the heating in the flat.
Ý 1 Since last Tuesday, the radiators have stayed completely cold, even though the boiler appears to be switched on. I have checked the thermostat and reset the system twice, as the manual suggests, but nothing has changed. There is also a strange clicking noise coming from the boiler.
Ý 2 As the temperature has dropped sharply this week, the flat has become uncomfortably cold, especially at night. I have had to buy a small electric heater, which is expensive to run, and my young son has caught a cold. I am also worried that damp might start to appear on the walls.
Ý 3 I would be very grateful if you could send an engineer to look at the boiler as a matter of urgency. I work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays, so either of those days would be convenient.
